Melissa Hobbs Naturopath (BHSc)
Meet Mel…
With a problem-solving mind, an affinity for nature and a love of food, I found my passion in the natural health field.
My journey to becoming a clinical naturopath began in my late twenties following my own experience with burnout and chronic fatigue syndrome. This led me to develop a special interest in managing chronic illness, fatigue states and pain-related conditions, naturally.
As a practitioner (and fellow human) juggling modern life, I understand how time poor many of us are and that healthy choices can often take a backseat to our demanding lifestyles. Throw in the abundance of conflicting information we are bombarded with, plus Dr Google at our fingertips - it’s no wonder so many people are confused and overwhelmed when it comes to making decisions about their health.
If you know it’s time to turn your health around and are looking for a holistic, compassionate approach, you’ve come to the right place!
Who Do I Work With?
I support people with a wide variety of health concerns, from general wellbeing and nutrient deficiencies, to chronic and complex conditions. Through my own health journey, I have developed a special interest in fatigue states including chronic fatigue syndrome and post-viral fatigue. My lived experience with this really helps me to understand what clients are going through, including the physical and mental burden that can result.
Working with me is all about connecting the dots between the many factors that are impacting your health, so that we have a holistic understanding of your whole health picture. We then work on levelling up your diet and lifestyle routines, supported by nutritional and herbal medicine (as appropriate) to achieve optimal results. I help you to feel more empowered and in control of your health as we work together to develop a realistic plan to achieve your goals. I’m a big fan of gradually building flexible, healthier habits into existing day-to-day routines, rather than the crash and burn pattern of fads, or the all-or-nothing rollercoaster that so many find themselves on. It’s the small things that we are actually able to do consistently that are most sustainable and lead to lifelong results.
