Basic Overnight Oats

Overnight oats are a meal preppers dream! They were a staple food for me as a busy student with long days on campus and frequently served as breakfast, lunch or any meal on the go really.

Just pop 1/2 a cup of base muesli mix into a container or jar, cover well with your milk of choice and pop in the fridge overnight. You can also add your favourite kefir or yoghurt (dairy or non-dairy, totally up to you).

Just make sure you remember to grab it as you rush out the door in the morning!


To make an individual serve:

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup milk of choice (you can add a serve of protein powder or collagen to this to meet your protein targets)

Add all of the ingredients to a jar/container & stir, or pop the lid on and shake to combine. Leave in the fridge for a couple of hours or overnight. Add toppings to serve.

You can also experiment with different flavour variations and toppings, by adding various fruits, nuts and seeds.
